The Friends of Mere Museum (FMM) was founded in October 1990
with the object of:
raising funds for the benefit of the Museum by means of events such as plant sales, film shows, raffles talks and other entertainments;
offering help from time to time with Museum projects under the direction of the Curator;
promoting the study of local history, archaeology, natural history, art and industry in co-operation with other local groups.
Benefits of membership of The Friends include an invitation to a private preview of each new exhibition and receiving a newsletter from time to time to keep them up to date with social and fund-raising events.
The FMM has four categories of membership; details can be found below. Annual subscriptions may be renewed by Bankers’ Order Mandate if preferred. This option makes it easy for people to maintain their membership without the need for annual reminders. It also makes administration very much easier.
Gift Aid U.K taxpayers can, if they wish, sign a declaration to this effect, which enables The Friends of Mere Museum to claim 25 pence for every pound paid to the Friends as a membership subscription or as a donation. (Members wishing to do this should ensure that the amount claimable by the Friends is less than the amount of tax they pay.)
If you would like to join, please download and complete the form including the sections on Gift Aid and how you would like to make payment. This form should be sent to:
