Our long-promised Big Museum Event will soon be upon us! Do make a note of Saturday afternoon, June 16th, 2-5 p.m, when the Museum will be open to let you see what goes into the running of your local Museum. The focal event will be the keynote talk given by the Conservator from the Wiltshire Museums Service, Sarah Volter. Sarah will talk about conservation of Museum objects in general and in particular about paper conservation. Sarah will be the conservator who will work on the Rutter Scrapbooks, and we hope she can tell us in a bit more detail what she will be doing to preserve them. The books will still be here for The Big Event, so you will be able to have a good look at them before we take them to Chippenham.
