These pictures show our latest exhibition on the Union Workhouse in Mere. This was presented before the Covid closure and will be still up when the museum opens again.
It was a very interesting part of Mere’s history to research and showed that not everything about the Workhouse’s was bad. However, Mere could be one of the exceptions to this.
