Our current exhibition is celebrating 50 years of Mere Museum. The flat showcase cabinet is displaying some of the first 85 objects received by the museum. At the time businesses were approached to see if they had any items to start the collection. The main showcase cabinets show both items received in the decades and key events which happened during the same time. For example, the building of the by-pass in 1975 and the receipt of the Court and City Register published in London in 1750 are both in the same cabinet.
The permanent exhibition has again been updated both with items and information about Mere bringing it right up to 2023. Please do leave some feedback in our visitor’s book when you visit the exhibition.
