A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported our plant sale on Saturday10th May. We raised just under £1,000 which is incredible. All proceeds are used tosupport the running costs of the museum. We are indebted to the generosity of CliveHazzard for supplying the wonderful plants.
We are pleased to tell you of two events coming up which may be of interest. The first is our annual plant sale. We will have a great supply of quality geraniums and patio plants from our specialist grower as well as a variety of donated plants. The Sale is at 10 am on

The museum received very few donations last year and if you are having a sort out, please do consider donating items to the museum, particularly if you have photos of Mere or information regarding the families and history of Mere. We are fortunate to have some wonderful photos of Mere from the 18th century onwards.
Friends of Mere Museum Our new exhibition at the museum is live and we have some exciting events upcoming. There are plans underway for the group’s ever-popular plant sale and quiz, both will be put on by the Friends and Mere Museum. The plant sale will be on Saturday 11th May in the Grove Building.

The weather (at the time of writing) has suddenly become spring-like and the Friends’ famous and popular plant sale is nearly here. The latest exhibition, The Rutter Scrapbooks, is the collection of posters and documents which the Friends of Mere Museum raised funds to have conserved. It took the best part of a year for the work to be done and has taken a long time to catalogue at the Museum. Some of the posters are unique
