Our long-promised Big Museum Event will soon be upon us! Do make a note of Saturday afternoon, June 16th, 2-5 p.m, when the Museum will be open to let you see what goes into the running of your local Museum. The next new exhibition at Mere Museum will be two of the Wiltshire at War Travelling Exhibitions: ‘Keeping the Home Fires Burning’ and ‘A Child’s War’. They will be installed in the afternoon of Tuesday May 15th. These exhibitions will on display until Wednesday June 6th! Please do drop by and find out more.
The time has come at last for the Friends’ Famous Annual Plant Sale! This will take place on Saturday, 12th May at 10.00am in the Grove Building. This always proves to be a popular event and raises lots of money for the museum. We looking forward to seeing you!
The Friends’ first fund-raiser this year is a Quiz Night, and it will take place on Friday, 27th April in the Grove Building. Doors will open at 7.00pm. Come with a ready-made team of four or just turn up and join in. Refreshments will be available and we shall also have a raffle.
We are delighted to announce that we have a ‘big event’ taking place in the Museum on the 16th June. More details to come, but it will showcase the best of what the museum has to offer. Please do put the date in the diary!
