About Us – A Brief History

It must have been in about 1967 or 1968 that at a Parish Council meeting the idea of having a museum in Mere was floated. The meeting was discussing the possibility of having a new County Library in the vacant school building in Church Street.

Will You Help Us…

…to raise funds for the benefit of the Museum by means of events such as plant sales, film shows, raffles talks and other entertainments

…by offering help from time to time with Museum projects under the direction of the Curator
